Northwestern Ohio Volunteer Firemen's Association
President Jerry Houtz and the officers of the association would like to welcome you to our association. The association was founded in 1874 at Ada, Ohio. Article I of the Constitution and By-Laws of the association states that: "The object of this association shall be to create and maintain a brotherly and fraternal feeling by banding together such volunteer, part-paid, paid firefighters as may be carried on the rolls of fire companies or fire departments, to work for the education of its members in the advancement of their chosen duty of firefighting, fire prevention and rescue work; to hold a Conference annually for the promotion of friendship among the members; and to seek protection for fighters and their dependents through adequate legislation." The 2026 Preconvention will be held on April 18th at the Gibsonburg Fire Department. The General meeting will take place at 3:00pm followed by dinner at 5:00pm.
For those seeking office in the association or departments requesting to host 2027 events we will need your request presented before or during the meeting. If unable to attend the meeting, requests can be sent to Secretary Tim Schroeder at bgfiremedic@gmail.com

The 2026 Region Fire School takes place this weekend (March 14th & 15) at the Penta Career Center. The center is located at 9301 Buck Rd, Perrysburg, OH 43551. Please check the Fire School Website for more information.

Our 2026 Membership has been updated. Please go to the Members Page or Charity Fund Page to check on your department.
The Charity Fund has ended the grace period. The cost is now $3 per member.
