CONVENTION MEETING
June 16, 2007 Rossford, Ohio
Call to Order NOVFAA 
Meeting was called to order by President, BJ Hancock. All stood for the pledge to the flag. 
Reading of Rules of Order Sgt at Arms, Sandy Smith 
Memorial Service NOVFAA Members: Presented by Brenda Baker and Sheryl Rathge. 
Welcome from Host Dept 
Erica Samson of Rossford, which is in the process of forming an auxiliary, wanted to welcome all of us to 
the City of Rossford. Also thanked us for all we do. 
Response by Vice President: Lois McKnight 
Thanks for a wonderful time. There was no trouble and all comments were very good ones. 
Introduction of Queens and Court 
Queen: Heather Stoller of Plymouth Fire Dept 
1st Runner-up: Megan Tuttle of Willard Fire Dept
2nd Runner-up: Katherine Shreffler of Gibsonburg Madison Township Fire Dept 
3rd Runner-up: 
4th Runner-up: Toni Slattery of Florence Township Fire Department, Edon, Ohio 
2006-2007 Queen: Tiffini Wagner of Edgerton Fire Dept. 
Roll Call was answered by 12 auxiliaries and 8 individual members.
Count Down showed 38 people present for the meeting. 
Secretary Report: Minutes from the Pre-Convention Meeting in Liberty Center, Ohio were read, 
corrections were made by Lynn Mahlman of Napoleon for name/dept correction of Susan Eis of Florida 
Flatrock and also by Mable Hudson of Delta for name correction of Shirley Meller of Fayette. Corrections 
were noted and minutes were approved.
Treasurer Report: Treasurer’s report was read and is attached. Motion to accept the treasurer’s report was 
made by Deb Hagedorn of Oregon and seconded by Mable Hudson of Delta. 
Motion Approved. 
Mable Hudson of Delta asked us to explain Charity Fund for those who did not know what it was. President 
BJ Hancock explained how the Charity Fund works.
Committee Reports 
Auditing: 
	Deb McNutt & Brenda Baker: Deb reported that she and Brenda had completed the audit of the books 
	Thursday night and that everything was in order. 
Bowling: 
	There was no Bowling for 2006-2007 due to lack of interest. 
Sales: 
	No sales were done for 2006-2007. 
Pre Convention: 
	Brenda Baker of Liberty Center reported that everything went fine and that there were no problems but also 
	stated that there was a low attendance. She also thanked everyone who attended. 
Convention: 
	Enjoyable time had by all. 
Nominating: 
	Offices that are up for election at Convention were: President, Vice President, 2yr & 3yr Board Member and 
	Bowling. 
Introduction of Slate of Candidates: 
President- Lois McKnight of Ottoville our current Vice President 
Vice-President- Deb McNutt of Whitehouse our current Chairman of the Board 
2yr Board Member- Lindsey McNutt of Whitehouse 
3yr Board Member- Pat Bishop of Clinton Twp for her current position 
Bowling- Bradner Auxiliary to be held in Woodville 
Report # of Delegates: There were 18 Delegates present. 
	President: Lois McKnight 
		President BJ Hancock asked 3 times for nominations from the floor and none were received. 
		Motion to close nominations from the floor was made by Deb Zimmerman of Richland Twp 
		and seconded by Betty Linkey of Bradner. 
	Vice President: Deb McNutt 
		President BJ Hancock asked 3 times for nominations from the floor and none were received. 
		Motion to close nominations from the floor was made by Yvonne Westover-Bailey of New 
		London and seconded by Lisa Spiess of Napoleon. 
	Board of Directors: 
		2yr Lindsey McNutt 
		President BJ Hancock asked 3 times for nominations from the floor and none were received. 
		Motion to close nominations from the floor was made by Mable Hudson of Delta and 
		seconded by Lois McKnight of Ottoville. 
		3yr Pat Bishop 
		President BJ Hancock asked 3 times for nominations from the floor and none were received. 
		Motion to close nominations from the floor was made by Deb Zimmerman of Richland Twp 
		and seconded by Diane Kuhlman of Ottawa. 
	Bowling: Bradner 
		President BJ Hancock asked 3 times for nominations from the floor and none were received. 
		Motion to close nominations from the floor was made by Sheryl Rathge of Richland Twp and 
		seconded by Rosemary Bishop of Clinton Twp. 
Old Business: 
	• Lottery 
		o The officers ask for the approval and the assistance in selling the tickets. 
		o The officers request all tickets stubs and money back to our Lottery Chairman Betty Linkey: 
		  11405 Blackman Road, Bradner, OH 43406 (419-288-2246) by October 1, 2007. As the drawings will 
		  be held in November 2007. 
			• Deb Hagedorn of Oregon asked what daily number would be used and the President stated that 
			  we would use the nightly pick 3. 
			• Yvonne Westover-Bailey of New London asked how much we made of this in 2004. Treasurer Rosemary 
			  Bishop stated that we had a profit of $3,667.00 in 2004. 
         		• Mabel Hudson of Delta asked where it shows the profits on the treasurer’s report. 
         		  Treasurer Rosemary Bishop \explained that it was put in the money market in 2004. 
         		• Mabel Hudson of Delta asked how our lottery worked. Lottery Chairman Betty 
         		  Linkey explained our process. 
         		• Motion to do the lottery was made by Rosemary Bishop of Clinton Twp and 
         		  seconded by Dee Jensen of Springfield. 
        • Website 
        	 o Jen McNutt and Brenda Baker are working together to get all information on the men’s 
         	   website under an auxiliary link at www.NOVFA.net . This will save time and money. All 
		   forms and minutes to the Pre-Convention and Convention meetings will be online. A letter 
         	   will be sent to all auxiliaries and individual members letting everyone know that all 
         	   information can be found on the website. The letter will contain a form that must be returned 
         	   letting the officers know that you have or do not have internet access. If you do not have 
		   internet access to get the information from the website, request a hard copy to be sent to the address 
		   you provide on the form. If at any time you have difficulty getting information from the website,

Motion to destroy ballots was made by Deb Hagedorn of Oregon and seconded by Mary Rose Ellerbrock of 
Glandorf. 
         President BJ Hancock turns the meeting over to the President elect Lois McKnight. 
         Lois McKnight took the opportunity as her first duty as President to present a Past Presidents’ Pin to 
         BJ Hancock.
